About

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY25709) practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area. I provide individual psychotherapy to adults struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction or substance use concerns, relational problems, work stress, and life transitions. I take a collaborative approach when working with clients to identify treatment goals and integrate evidence-based therapies in order to build coping skills and increase resilience.

My goal in working with clients is to create a supportive non-judgmental space that is conducive to self-reflection and self-compassion. After all, self-loathing and shame are not motivators for change; they get us stuck.  I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindful Self-Compassion to support people in looking at what’s not working for them in their life and work towards change.

I earned my undergraduate degree with Distinction in Psychology from Colorado College. I then earned both my master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Denver, Graduate School of Professional Psychology. I completed my doctoral internship at the University of Denver Health and Counseling Center. In 2010 I relocated to the Bay Area and completed my post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek treating adults in the mental health department, as well as working at a higher level of care in an Intensive Outpatient Program. I continue to work part-time at Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek in the Addiction Medicine and Recovery Services Department.

Outside of the office you can typically find me enjoying outdoor activities with my family or relaxing with a good book.
